Leon and the magic words

Children's Film / Animation, Italy / France 2009, directed by Dominique Monfery, running time 74 minutes Rated from 0 (no age limit)

The seven-year-old Leon still can not read yet. When his Aunt dies, she leaves her house and his parents to him their old books collection. Leon finds out that the books serve as a hiding place for all fairy tale characters. Now he has to Pinocchio, protect Red Riding Hood, Aladdin and all the other heroes of all children. For they should leave the library, they disappear forever, and no child would be more able to read their stories. When his parents begin trying to sell the books despite Leon, who has been shrunk by the evil witch Carabosse, especially to preserve and to all his little friends.
Menfery Dominique has made a name as an illustrator at Disney, where he appeared in films like "Hercules" or "Tarzan" co. With his second film as director, he shows that he has internalized the lessons Disney and can design with a significantly lower budget, a fascinating world of magic that captivates the children's target audience. "Leon and the magic words" is an ode to the imagination - and the power of reading - which looks great in any family entertainment collection.
